Message from the President
As incoming president of CoreNet Global UK, my focus for the year is obviously on the members. We have approximately 500 members at the moment which is split 50/50 between corporates and service providers and I'm aware that the members are split into different groups. Some of which act for global clients, some of which work for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and some of which are interested in what is going on in the UK . So my aim this year is to try and add value for all of the members in the organisation
Education and learning
Education and learning is key to CoreNet and the way forward as far as I'm concerned. We have set up a relationship with Henley which we are moving forward. We have technical tours and educational seminars which take place during the year which I’d encourage everyone to come along and learn from. These will be included within the organisation and there is an opportunity for all of you to socialise and network with your peers within CoreNet, which is a great place to be
A social network
Two other opportunities you might be interested in. We have our annual dinner which takes place in February next year at the QE2 hall in Westminster, which is a new venue for us and I hoping we be having a summer party somewhere in London – as long as the sun shines!
Getting involved
CoreNet's strength is its people. The year ahead as far as I can see is going to be great. It's all about the members and getting involved. If you can get involved you'll enjoy, you’ll learn and I do believe that CoreNet will be a great place to be.
